Teaching Assistant – full time time (£11.79 – £13.69 per hour)

Appledore School is seeking to appoint a permanent part time teaching assistant to work 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, in a lower key stage 2 class. The position is to start as soon as possible.

The grade for the position falls within bands B-D and will be determined by experience. Should Grade B or C be deemed appropriate, on occasions when the class teacher is not present (e.g. attending a course) the post holder will be required to take the whole class and will be paid accordingly for this time at Grade D.

You will:

  • Be caring, patient and highly motivated
    Ideally have experience of working with children in a primary school setting
    Work closely alongside the class teachers to ensure the delivery of high-quality personalised learning through instruction and under own initiative
    Be responsible for the whole class on occasions
    Have strong literacy and numeracy skills
    Be part of the team responsible for lunchtime supervision
    Be able to uphold and promote the school’s inclusive ethos
    Have a sense of humour!

Meal Time Assistants – Casual Bank Staff

Breakfast and After School Club – Casual Bank Staff

We are looking for a caring, patient and highly motivated playworker to join our hard working and committed team working in our busy before and after school clubs (Appledore Out of School Club – AOOSC)

  • Ideally have a level 2 or level 3 qualification

    • Experience of working with young children in a busy environment

    • Have a hands on approach who enjoys having fun

    • Have a sense of humour!

    We can provide relevant training.
